Professional Family History Research
Thames Valley Ancestry

Welcome

Thames Valley Ancestry is a genealogical research service based near Reading in Berkshire. It offers a wide range of services carried out in any part of the UK, with the  counties of Oxfordshire and Berkshire a speciality. I would be delighted to assist you whether you are entirely new to family history, or undertaking your own research and looking for some professional help or guidance.

Although there are significant numbers of  individuals and organisations now advertising research services, many of them are not accredited or properly qualified. By using Thames Valley Ancestry you can be sure you are hiring a fully accredited, well-trained and experienced researcher. I am a member of AGRA which is the ONLY organisation in England that requires strict minimum standards of all its members. All its members have undergone a formal assessment and abide by a strict Code of Practice.  For more information about my credentials please click here.

Being a small company I am able to offer a quality and personable service at a reasonable price.

Using online sources, local county archives, record offices and other research facilities I can provide either personally tailored research and advice,  or a standardised fixed-price research package. Please click here to see in more detail the services I can offer.

I am willing to undertake all kinds of assignments, from just checking one entry in a parish register to researching a full-scale family history and producing a quality bound report, biography or pedigree chart. The latter can make a very personal and unique gift to a family member, perhaps to celebrate a special birthday, wedding or anniversary. Without any obligation, please contact me with details of your research requirements or for examples of what I can provide.
