For research or advice please contact me with clear details of your particular problem or requirement. Records to be researched will depend upon the circumstances, status and location of the people concerned. Once I have received your information, I will give you an indication of how how long the research may take. It will depend on factors such as:
The amount and reliability of information you are able to provide.
The prevalence of the family surname. Researching a commonly found surname will generally entail more effort than that used for a rarely found surname.
The amount of travel required to complete your research.
It is difficult to be precise about costs as each case is unique and historical research can be complex and lengthy. Although I will give you a rough indication of the likely costs, I recommend that your research is conducted in stages so that costs can be regularly reviewed and approved by you. I ask all clients to stipulate a limit to the amount of money they wish to spend, inclusive of expenses, in order to avoid misunderstandings. If your research is 19th century family history research, one of my Research packages may suit you better.
